This fun class will focus on the popular movement called Refashioning. We will use items of clothing that are already made to make new clothing, including a recycled T-shirt tote, hats and mittens. Designed for directors and coaches of youth athletics, this course helps coaches understand their importance as teaches and role models. Attendees discuss ways to enhance sports programs by making them more memorable and rewarding and explore their impact and responsibilities as coaches. Topics of discussion include why kids play and quit sports, winning and losing, communicating with youth, how to deal with parents, and acceptable forms of discipline.
