Examines the role of the registered nurse. Identifies components of the nursing program philosophy. Reviews etiology, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and the diagnostic testing of common alterations in health within the context of all body systems. The nursing process will guide the student in analyzing the care of the adult and maternal child patients with noncomplex health disorders. Emphasis will be placed on assessment skills.
