The student is first introduced to the common screens of both RSLogixTM and RSLinxTM. Once the student is familiar with the common screens the class advances to entering simple programs, monitoring these simple programs, and modifying/editing the existing programs. As the program progresses the labs become more complex. The students are encouraged to work at their own pace while being assisted by the instructor. The students are shown how to recover from a power failure, upload and download programs, and set up reporting for troubleshooting when the need arises.

The Motorsport Industry specifically the world of late model, sprint cars and midgets demands skilled mechanics knowledgeable in the basics of high performance engines. Elements of engine assembly, block preparation and short block assembly, head preparation and engine balancing are studied in the course. The course is taught at a state-of-the-art facility owned by Mr. Earl Gaerte. Gaerte engines have a winning tradition. This course will be instructed by Mr. Gaerte and delivered at his Rochester, Indiana, facility.
