Research methodologies, rules for documentation and organizational principles of writing are the three focused areas of the course. Students will learn some of the recent research techniques such as database searches and on-line research as well as other essential research methodologies like using the library, taking notes and developing a bibliography. As to organizational principles of writing introduced in the course include writing a thesis statement, writing a formal outline, and revising techniques. All the research and writing process discussed in the course are divided into a series of step-by-step activities and exercises to provide the students with a manageable and non-threatening learning experience.
