    Me and My Aging Parent ¿ The Financial Future One of the most difficult situations an individual can face is dealing with the incapacity, disability and long term care of a parent. Along with the emotional aspects of dealing with these situations, there are a myriad of financial considerations. The goal of this workshop is to provide an overview of these considerations and the role that financial planning plays in addressing them. Topics that will be covered include managing assets during incapacity, personal and medical care decision making, options for long term care and paying for long term care. The role of private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and long term care insurance as sources of funding for long term care will be discussed.

Rather than sort through drawers, phonebooks and folders, have all the information you need, such as bank account numbers, insurance and personal information in one booklet ¿ ready at a moment's notice. Each participant will leave with The Locator, a compact tool that will hold it all, and learn the skills necessary to use it and keep it viable.     *ESB CORE* Creating a Business Plan This non-credit workshop guides participants through the process of writing a business plan for a small business or new venture. Participants will research, develop, and write detailed business plans, which can be used to create successful businesses. This is a 15 week commitment. Required software for the workshop is Business Plan Pro by Palo Alto Software http://www.paloalto.com/business_plan_software/index_b.cfm. This workshop can be taken on its own or put toward the Entrepreneurship and Small Business certificate offered through the Continuing Education Division.
