Students critically analyze interview data and assessment findings that relate to the specific needs of individuals concerning age and culture. The normal parameters of health are used to compare and contrast the findings. Discussions will include health screening across the life span and associated health promotion practices, as recommended by Healthy People 2010. Students formulate a research problem and apply the elements of the research process in a hypothetical study. The ethical issues involved in nursing research, theoretical frameworks for nursing research and the nurse's role as a member of a research team to forward research dissemination are discussed.
