This course is a study of the growth, development, and differentiation of organisms from conception to death. It involves the morphology, anatomy, physiology, genetics, evolution and taxonomy of organisms. Special emphasis is placed on fertilization, cleavage and gastrulating, and the origin and establishment of various organ systems in vertebrates. Pre-requisite for biology majors: BI 121-122 or BI 123. Co-requisite: BI 226L.
