The concepts of general microbiology will be correlated with the oral ecology and factors associated with pathogenesis. Special emphasis will be placed upon correlation to periodontology, dental caries, and phase contrast microscopy. Sterilization, disinfection, asepsis, and chemotherapy will also be emphasized.
