Development of research and related skills in the study of formal organizations, group dynamics and leadership, urban planning, decision making, and market and evaluation research. Students will be responsible for required readings, a diary of field experiences and observations, and a term paper. (Students may elect to complete either one or two semesters, but 19.3 is not required prior to 19.4. Only one internship course, either 19.3 or 19.4, may count towards the requirement that majors complete five advanced electives in Sociology.)
