This second course is comprised of the gas laws, the thermodynamics laws, and their application to chemical and phase equilibria, the kinetic theory of gases, chemical reaction kinetics, reaction dynamics, and soil and surface chemistry. Methematical techniques required for certain topics will be introduced as needed. Three lectures, one laboratory, and one recitation per week. Prerequiste: CHM111-112, MAT111-112, PHY201-202 or PHY223- 224 or equivalent course.
