Analyses the history of neocolonial theories and policies throughout the United States, Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Global economy as a partner in the restructuring of a post-World War II environment is a central focus. Charting the rise of independence in Africa and the emergence of a Black Power Movement in the United States, this course identifies and questions the multiple implications of Cold War politics as they related to race, class, and gender in a global context.
