The application of skill, knowledge and concepts necessary for planning, organizing and conducting recreation and leisure services. Permission and 2.50 GPA overall as it appears on the Degree Audit Report (DAR) at the end of the semester preceding the internship experience. Therapeutic Recreation interns also must obtain a copy of their intern supervisor's current NCTRC certification certificate. Interns must complete a 12 (or more) consecutive week, 480-hour placement under the supervision of a qualified recreation specialist. Prerequisite: Senior standing in the RTTR major and completion of recreation core courses, or instructor's permission. P/NC only.
