The content is designed to acquaint the candidates with the pedagogical techniques, philosophies, and practices utilized by successful secondary mathematics teachers and required by the Teaching Performance Expectations as delineated in the Standards of Quality and Effectiveness for Teacher Preparation Programs. The course includes at least ten hours of field experience in a high school or middle school mathematics classroom. This course does not count toward a major or a minor in mathematics.
