Credit for specified performance assignments with CommWorks (Students Committed to Performance) and, by extension, the University Communication Department is awarded after a term-end evaluation by the instructor of the project agreed upon with the student. The course may not count toward major requirements. May be repeated for a total of six credits. Prerequisite: Permission of the instrutor is required, limited to students active in CommWorks for at least one semester, students may also gain entry with previous substantial experience in performance, theatre, and/or forensics, student must provide tangible evidence to the advisor. Current topics in contemporary cinema, with an emphasis on engagement with current film and video makers, and analysis and critique of cutting edge work in the field of screen production.
