Through the actual work experience, this course connects classroom learning and real-world practice. Under the guidance of a faculty advisor, students select a cooperative placement. An internship in a political office. The student will keep a daily log and develop a research topic on the basis of the log and experience. By working an eight-hour day from Monday through Friday, the intern will develop firsthand knowledge of a state or local office and will secure an experience rating for future positions after graduation.
