Includes sets and logic, subscripts, arrays, number systems, counting, recursion, graph theory, trees, networks and Boolean algebra. IAI M1 905, IAI CS 915 Prerequisite: MTH 070 (or equivalent) with a grade of C or better or Geometry placement test and MTH 103 with a grade of C or better or placement test. The study begins in 1851 with the blending of African, European, Haitian, and Creole music and culture in New Orleans, which resulted in the creation of blues and improvisation. The study continues with further development in Chicago, Kansas City, New York, and Los Angeles. The course introduces blues, Dixieland, big band, cool, hard bop, funk, free, and fusion.
