SPA 101: Elementary Spanish I

Examines the concept of standard Spanish and explores the situations in which standard and non-standard Spanish should be employed and how to adjust language usage accordingly. This course emphasizes the orthography, pronunciation and lexical expansion in formal Spanish. This course is intended for Hispanic heritage students that comprehend spoken Spanish and may have varying degrees of speaking and writing ability.
