EXS 210: Fund of Nutrition & Exercise

This course is an introduction to the field of nutrition with specific applications to exercise nutrition. An emphasis is placed on the nutritional needs of the athlete and the active person. Students will explore the role of diet as it relates to improving athletic or exercise performance; and those aspects related to making informed choices about foods that reduce the risk of developing or contributing further to health problems as a result of poor nutrition. Registration for ATC and EXS courses is restricted to matriculated students in the Department of Exercise Science and Athletic Training students unless permission is granted by the Department Chair.
