Focus will be on identifying symptoms of trauma and associated responses of secondary trauma (e.g., chronic fatigue, apathy, and career burnout), which can be experienced by helping professionals through their work with trauma victims. Emphasis will also be on examining research and empirically validated treatments for trauma disorders, such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
