ASC 91: Pre-Algebra

Designed for students with little or no algebra background who wish to prepare for further study in mathematics. Pre-algebra provides students with a review of the basic skills of arithmetic. Teaches beginning algebra including operations of signed numbers, fractions, order of operations, combining like terms and solving equations. Includes working with formulas and translating mathematical sentences. This course may be required due to Compass test results and the course placement policy. Upon recommendation of the instructor, this course may be repeated for additional credit. (F, S, Su)
