(3 Credits) Prerequisite: A grade of "C" or better inMATH 107 within the last two years or a satisfactory score on the Math Placement Test taken in the last year Th is course is designed for students pursuing a degree in Education. Topics include the arithmetic of real numbers, arithmetic algorithms, properties of sets, elementary number theory, introduction of functions and modeling, and the development of problem-solving strategies.

Topics include fractions, decimals, ratios, proportions, percent, integers, rational numbers and real numbers. Introductory properties, concepts, and logical reasoning in statistics, probability and geometry will also be covered.
