This course requires 240 hours of hands-on experience under the direction of a licensed veterinary technician at a departmentally approved veterinary hospital. Learning experiences include medical and surgical nursing, clinical pathology, pharmacology, and diagnostic imaging. Focus is on the student assuming an independent role as a veterinary technician to facilitate transition from student to graduate. This course is part of the College's competitive admissions programs and is therefore excluded from the tuition free Senior Citizen Tuition Policy. Prerequisites: VET 235 and VET 222 and VET 240
