Beginning with simple binary dance forms of the Rococo era, students will progress to analysis of works which will include compound forms, song, and variation. Skills in aural analysis will be a part of this study in addition to written analyses of major repertoire in a wide variety of genre. Prerequisite: senior standing or permission of instructor.
