This course of study focuses on the music curriculum K ? C8 for the music education major. This study surveys sequential musical experiences, concepts of teaching music, and education objectives. Orff, Kodaly, and Dalcroze methods are examined along with other materials and various pedagogical approaches. Experiences on instruments include recorder, classroom rhythm instruments, and guitar. Musical literature is drawn from diverse cultures of the world. Teaching field experiences required. Two hours.
