    This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: (1) Current BCLS (CPR) certification at the Health Care Provider level by the American Heart Association or equivalent. Lectures and discussions that prepares EMS professionals for the first response to nuclear, biological, or chemical terrorist attack. Topics discussed are nuclear, biological, and chemical agents, their dissemination, triage, and treatment of mass casualty terrorist attacks. Additional topics and interactive skills will further discuss and explore first-responses to multiple casualty incidents such as multi-victim vehicle crashes, structural collapses, and natural disasters. The use of the National Incident Management System will be incorporated via field trips and event simulation practices. (2 Lec., 2 Lab.) Search for EMSP 2332 classes
