RADT 130: Patient Care

This course provides the student with basic concepts of integrated patient care within the radiology department including: physical and psychological needs of the patient, venipuncture techniques with associated application in contrast media injection, treatments of complication and/or reaction to media injection . Routine and emergency patient care procedures are described as well as infection control procedures utilizing universal precautions. Common drug nomenclature and basic concepts of pharmacology are introduced.
