Emphasis placed on specific skills that facilitate better learning: determining main ideas, differentiating between primary and secondary details, identifying organizational patterns, and summarizing and paraphrasing. Credit does not count toward meeting degree requirements. Placement according to test scores or completion of ENG*003 (Formerly Reading 98).
