Primary emphasis placed on fundamental operations with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, integers, and rational numbers; proportions, and percentages. Other topics include representations of data, geometric figures, and measurement. Note: Students may receive credit for only one of the following: MAT081, MAT082, or MAT083. Prerequisites: Satisfactory score on district placement exam.

Linear behavior; linear equations and inequalities in one and two variables; graphs; systems of equations in two variables; function notation, graphs, and data tables; operations on polynomials; properties of exponents; applications. Note: May receive credit for only one of the following: MAT090, MAT091, MAT092, or MAT093. Prerequisites: Grade of "C" or better in MAT082, or MAT102, or equivalent, or satisfactory score on District Placement exam.
