It starts with the basics; no musical training is required. Students will experience traditional, popular, and electronic music. Students will develop music-related intellectual and critical listening skills as well as basic comprehension of some representative musical traditions and genres. The course is designed to present music as a cultural conduit of various ethnic socities in aspects of human society: cultural, philosophical, religious, linguistic, historical, and political.
