Capstone course in which majors and minors in Latin American Studies design, execute and write up original, library-based research on Latin America. Some readings may be in Spanish or Portuguese. Study Abroad. The University sponsors academic programs in Mexico at the Universidad de las Américas, Puebla; in the Dominican Republic, at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, Santiago de los Caballeros; at the University of Costa Rica, in San José, Costa Rica; at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Universidad de Chile, in Santiago, Chile; and at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Students may go for either a semester or a full academic year. The University also sponsors an academic year and a one-semester program in Brazil at the Universidade de S?o Paulo.
