    Intermediate/advanced ballet; a continuation of DANC 1142 with greater emphasis on expressive performance of classical ballet. Development of greater physical strength, stamina, and flexibility. Emphasis on experiencing and understanding the classical principles of ballet technique which include form, symmetry, balance, order, line, discipline, and control. Students will be evaluated the first two weeks of the semester to insure proper level placement. Students may be asked to move to a more appropriate technique level during the evaluation period. Includes experiencing a variety of movement styles and material each semester. Lab required. Prerequisites: Consent of Dance Chair, and Dance Audition required. 2 credit hours. Note: Students may take DANC 1212, DANC 1213, DANC 2210, DANC 2211, DANC 2212, and DANC 2213 for a combined total of no more than 8 credit hours.
