This will provide the teacher candidate with the opportunity to plan specific learning experiences for a student or a small group of students under supervision in the area of professional concentration. Students will design, deliver, record, and analyze lessons based on assessments of student needs. Students will need a block of time to spend in an assigned K-12 classroom. Prerequisite: ED 304. Corequisite: This must be taken concurrently with either ED 421 (EL/MS), ED 431/ED 432 (MS/HS).

Students will have the opportunity to participate in a mock interview with a principal, will be introduced to Career Placement Services and begin the process of developing a resume and placement file. Students will present Portfolio II, the final benchmark before Student Teaching. Portfolio II focuses on integration and implementation of all aspects of the art and science of teaching as well as on the human relations skills of candidates. Prerequisite: ED 304, Senior standing, 3.0 GPA overall and in Education courses.
