    This course provides students with individual organ instruction. Private instruction is required of music majors each semester during college. Music majors receive one-hour lessons each week of the semester. The course is repeatable for credit. This course develops a student's technical, interpretive, sight reading, pedigogical and improvisational skills as well as developing a student's understanding of the history and repertory of the specific in strumental/voice. A jury is required at the end of the semester. The jury accounts for 20% of the grade for the course. Students must successfully pass the jury at the end of their second semester of 1000 level private instruction in order to register for 2000 level private instruction. An additional fee is required.

    This course provides students with instruction in the fundamentals of guitar beyond the beginner level. Students will learn to construct basic chords, and focus on strumming and fingerpicking patterns. Students will be expected to learn both standard notation and tabliture ($100.00 Fee).

    This course provides credit for participation in school musical theater productions as a member of the chorus, or pit orchestra. May be repeated for credit.

    This course provides individual musical instruction at an intermediate to advanced level. Private instruction is required of all music majors each semester. Music performance majors are required to take 60-minute lessons each week, while music education and music therapy students are required to take 30-minute lessons each week. All students are also required to participate in regular master classes, recitals and juries which fulfill the lab portion of the course. The course is also available, by instructor's permission, to non-music majors who wish to develop their musicianship and performance skills. An additional fee is required.

    Involves a special project where there is a demonstrated need which cannot be met through enrollment in a regularly scheduled course. Also could include special projects of unusual merit in furthering a student's professional goals. Student(s) must be able to sustain framework for developing and enhancing student abilities to do lucid thinking. Requires approval of instructor, division dean, and curriculum committee.
