This course is intended to expose students to a range of assessment methods used by teachers in the public schools. Both traditional and modern assessment methods (such as portfolios) are covered, each being matched to Hawaii State content standards and educational outcomes. At the end of the course students should be able to design and administer assessments which will reasonably assess student learning suitable for school purposes and parental information. (Prerequisite: Formal admission to the Department of Education.)
