The college with the employer develops and documents an individualized plan for the student. The plan relates the workplace training and experiences to the student’s general and technical course of study. Students enrolling in this course must also enroll in DAAC 2271. The guided external experiences must meet the guidelines set forth by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) for licensure as chemical dependency counselor. The student will be required to complete 150 clock hours of supervised work experience during the semester. This course partially fulfills the approved supervised field work practicum requirements specified for licensure by the DSHS.
