This course is designed to allow the medically excused student to participate in a program of exercise and movement specific to his / her abilities. After receiving a medical doctor's written approval, each student will receive a personal fitness prescription. Laboratory work in the Dean Healthplex is required. This course may be repeated with permission of Department Chair.

Skills will be instructed under the supervision of an approved clinical instructor. This class will meet two times per week. Prerequisite: Signature of the ATEP Director.

The major components of health related physical fitness, including personal assessment, prescription and practice of physical activities designed for fitness, are emphasized. Laboratory experiences in the Dean Healthplex are included. This course is required for all University graduates as part of the general education physical activity requirement.
