HPXS 110: Hiking

Milligan College
This activity course will introduce students to the nature and benefits of hiking in general, and hiking in the southern Appalachian Mountains in particular. Attention will be given to safety and equipment. The course is open to students of various ability levels. The instructors will work with each student to make individual plans; among other things, these plans will detail how frequently and how far each student should hike. This course satisfies the HPXS activity general education requirement.
