Corequisites: EXSC 494, EXSC 496. Prerequisite: Grade of C- or higher in BIOL 213/214 or 307/308, senior standing, approval of advisor, PESH 201 or proof of valid First Aid & CPR, Cumulative GPA of 2.5. Notes: Offered fall, spring, and summer.

Corequisite: EXSC 494, EXSC 496. Notes: Offered in fall, spring, and summer. A grade of S or U will be recorded. Lab Fee: $360.

Description: A course to be taken concurrently with the EXSC 496 Internship. Students will develop a portfolio based upon the experiences in their internship. Corequisites: EXSC 492 or 493, EXSC 496. Prerequisite: Grade of C- or higher in BIOL 213 or 307, BIOL 214 or 308, senior standing, approval of advisor, Cumulative GPA of 2.5. Notes: Offered fall, spring, and summer.

Description: The internship provides students the opportunity for guided practical experience in an exercise science setting. Prerequisite: Completion of BIOL 307 and 308 with labs with C- or better.

Prerequisites: Grade of C- or higher in BIOL 213 or 307, BIOL 214 or 308, senior standing, approval of advisor, PESH 201 or proof of valid First Aid & CPR,Cumulative GPA of 2.5 . Notes: Offered fall, spring, and summer.

Description: This course is designed to develop the administrative and organizational skills necessary to implement a comprehensive physical education and sport program. In addition, this course will also focus on financial, legal, and facility concerns, as well as scheduling, delegating authority, and motivating personnel within the organization. Prerequisite: Junior, Senior, or Graduate level standing. Notes: Course is offered in the fall, spring, and periodically in summer.

Description: An examination of the physiological changes occurring in senior adults and persons with disabilities and hypokinetic diseases. In addition, the impact of physical activity on health, hypokinetic diseases, daily functioning, and quality of life are explored. Notes: Offered in fall and spring. Prerequisites: EXSC 384/385, Cumulative GPA of 2.5; or graduate status.

Products will be designed, marketed, and sold. A service learning project will be completed. Notes: Restricted to Human Development and Family Studies majors or minors with GPA of 2.25 or better. Human Development and Family Studies students must earn a grade of C or better and may not elect the S/U option. Lab Fee: $50. Offered in fall. Prerequisites: Restricted to Human Development and Family Studies majors or minors with GPA of 2.25 or better.

Description: This course focuses on concepts, principles, and current research findings applied to the study of growth and development from conception through death in the context of parenting. Prerequisite: Restricted to Family and Consumer Sciences majors or minors with GPA of 2.5 or better. Notes: Family and Consumer Sciences students must earn a grade of C or better and may not elect the S/U option. Offered in fall.
