Description: This course is designed to increase knowledge and instructional skills in various forms of aerobic exercise such as aerobic dance, water aerobics, and aerobic walking. The course will also investigate certification programs and requirements for individuals to lead and teach aerobic exercise classes. Notes: Offered in fall and spring.

Description: The purpose of this course is to provide an analysis of applied human anatomy, with emphasis placed on the musculoskeletal system, in relation to human movement, orthopedic injuries, and rehabilitation. Major components of the course include discussing physical concepts and how to apply scientific principles to sport-specific movements, joint actions, and muscle actions within the upper and lower extremities. Prerequisite: EXSC 101; PESH 102; BIOL 213 or BIOL 307; minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA. Notes: Offered fall and spring.

Description: This course will examine how the human body, from a functional and health-related standpoint, responds, adjusts, and adapts to acute exercise and chronic training. Basic skills of imparting health-related fitness information will also be presented. Notes: Offered in fall and spring. Prerequisites: C- in BIOL 214 or BIOL 308, cumulative GPA 2.5.
