Description: This course focuses on the management of e-commerce and its major opportunities, limitations, issues and risks. Since e-commerce is interdisciplinary, professionals in any functional area will find it of interest. Prerequisites: HMXP 102 with a C- or better, MGMT 220 with a C- or better, and junior status; OR graduate status.

Description: The course introduces predictive modeling and analytics techniques in a data-rich business setting. It covers the process of formulating business objectives, data preparation and study design, followed by implementation and evaluation of predictive models for a variety of practical business applications. The set of analytical tools discussed in the course contains cluster analysis, decision trees, neural networks, regressions, and association analysis. Application examples include customer retention, customer segmentation, delinquency analytics, fraud detection, and market basket analysis. The course takes 'learning-by-doing' approach with the use of the state-of-the-art analytical software. Prerequistes: QMTH 205 and QMTH 210, or QMTH 680 and Graduate Status.

Description: This course is part of the Bench to Bedside Initiative sponsored by the South Carolina Area Health Consortium and the MUSC. It is the third course in the B2B series. This course is designed for students interested in a health-related career. Students will engage in the development and implementation of a community health project to increase his/her knowledge of population health while strengthening his/her preparation for health professions education admissions application. Prerequisite: BIOL 122. Notes: Course may not be used to satisfy Area C. Offered in Spring.
