Description: Design and management of sustainable operations to produce goods and services that meet customer needs in an environmentally sound manner, protecting future generations. Sustainability strategies for the design of products, processes, and facilities. Sustainable supply chains and lean production. Management of projects, quality, inventories, and resources. Prerequisites: QMTH 210. All MGMT courses above 299 have a prerequisite of junior status, an overall GPA of at least 2.0 and a C- or better in HMXP 102.

Description: This course introduces the integration of traditional business processes and those required to establish sustainable business practices. Included is an introduction to natural systems. The course covers the use of business analytical tools to make decisions that restore the natural environment and build social capital to maintain long term profitability. Students will consider intelligent redesign of business practices and innovation as part of a commitment to sustainable management within company governance and in the stakeholder community. Prerequisite: HMXP 102 with a C- or better. More than 54 hours and greater than 2.0 GPA

Description: This course melds concepts of information technology, management and statistics to provide a foundation in managing and analyzing business data to enhance firm competitiveness. Concepts of information systems and the use of them to support management are presented. Technical foundations of information systems, processes for building, managing and securing systems, and systems that support management and the organization are covered. Prerequisites: CSCI 101B or CSCI 101E, and MATH 151 or MATH 101, or MATH 201, and CSCI 101 or CSCI 151. All MGMT courses above 299 have a prerequisite of junior status. An overall GPA of at least 2.0 and a C- or better in HMXP 102 or HXCT 301. Notes: Offered in fall and spring.

Description: Examines the organization, duties and administration of the hotel. Includes: the rooms division, convention/meeting spaces, and general business operations. Prerequisite: Grade of C- or better in MGMT 321 - Principles of Management. All MGMT courses above 299 have a prerequisite of junior status, an overall GPA of at least 2.0 and a C- or better in HMXP 102. Notes: Offered periodically.

Labor relations, as it relates to the field of sport management, is also covered. Prerequisites: MGMT 321. Restricted to Sport Management majors.
