Description: This course combines the skills presented in the Human Experience and Critical Reading, Thinking, and Writing courses,by using the reading in the Human Experience course to develop the skills addressed in the Critical Reading, Thinking, and Writing course. Prerequisite: Students must have at least 60 hours of transfer credit and at least two courses in composition/freshman writing. Notes: Offered in fall and spring.

Description: Students will focus on skills to develop a senior capstone project, find and organize relevant information, examine and critique evidence, establish criteria, and create a plan to complete a senior individualized studies project. Prerequisites: IDVS major and at least junior standing, completion of approved research methods course within program of study and completion of CRTW 201 with a grade of C or better; or permission of IDVS program director.

Description: An in-depth examination of a particular topic under the guidance of a faculty mentor. Prerequisite: Completion of IDVS390 with grade of C- or better. Notes: Course may be repeated for a total of 6 credit hours. Offered periodically.

Description: An opportunity for students to earn academic credit for experience gained through apprenticeship work related to the theme of their individualized degree program under the supervision of a trained professional. Prerequisites: Overall GPA of 2.0, 2.0 GPA in major courses, and permission of IDVS director. Notes: 50 hours of work are required to receive credit for this course. The course may be repeated for credit, but students may not apply more than 6 credit hours of IDVS internship courses toward degee completion. Graded on an S/U basis.

Description: An opportunity for students to earn academic credit for experience gained through apprenticeship work related to the theme of their individualized degree program under the supervision of a trained professional Prerequisites: Overall GPA of 2.0 or better, at least 2.0 GPA in major courses, and permission of IDVS program director. Notes: 100 hours of work are required to receive credit for this course. The course may be repeated for credit, but students may not apply more than 6 credit hours in IDVS internship courses toward degree completion.
