GERM 111: Accelerated Elementary German I (3).

Description: This course covers the same material as GERM 101 at a slightly faster pace, and is thus ideal for (but not limited to) students who have some previous background in the language. It emphasizes the development of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Prerequisite: Permission of department chair. Notes: Successful completion of this course (C- or higher) makes students eligible for GERM 112, which fulfills the language requirement for many programs in the College of Arts and Sciences.
