This seminar series will be a culmination of the study of effective servant leadership skills. Participation in opportunities that will develop the MISTERs' abilities to become positive role models to elementary aged students are required. Issues pertinent to the education of students from diverse backgrounds and fundamental to fulfilling the mission of Call Me MISTER will be included. Pre-requisite: Acceptance into Call Me MISTER program. One semester hour.

A full-time alternating Co-op program with a maximum of three terms. Students are considered full-time for purposes of financial aid deferment, insurance, and registration. However, the student does not earn any academic credit. Prerequisites: Sophomore standing and cumulative GPA of 2.25 or better. No credit, pass/fail.

The American Council on Education (ACE) recommends that credit be granted for the following courses and Lander University will grant two (2) hours of credit in COOP 284 for each> 1. Disney College Program Practicum, 2. Disney Communicaitons Course, 3. Disney Hospitality Management Course, 4. Disney ExpEARiential Learning, 5. Disney Human Resource Management Course, 6. Disney Organizational Leadership Course, 7. Marketing You - Personal and Career Development Strategies. A student must present a copy of an official student record from the Registry of Credit Recommendations, American Council on Educaiton, one DuPont Circle, Washington, D. C. 20036-1193 and must earn an overall score of 70% in each course for which the student desires credit. While up to a total of 14 semester hours of credit can be earned, only 6 hours of COOP credit may be applied toward degree requirements. Two semester hours.

This course is an introduction to the discipline of criminology and criminal justice, its concepts, institutions, processes, and theories, as well as an exploration of the relationships between communities and criminal justice agencies. (General Education - Behavioral and Social Perspectives) Three semester hours.

This course explores the broad spectrum of the systems, processes, and people that constitute the field of corrections and examines the history of the emergence and development of prisons and jails, probation, parole, and community-based corrections. Prerequisites: CRIM 101 or CJ 101, POLS 101, and SOCI 101. Three semester hours.

This course examines law enforcement systems and the practice of courts, police discretion, and the methods of dealing with suspects. Emphasis on criminal justice processes and the implication of criminal law in American society. Prerequisites: CRIM 101 or CJ 101, POLS 101, and SOCI 101.

This course consists of students engaging in a faculty-directed research project or assisting with faculty research. This course may be repeated for additional credit. Prerequisite: Permission of instructor. One credit hour.

3.00 Credits
This course explores the global phenomenon of human trafficking. The history of human exploitation and the social factors which contribute to this phenomenon are presented. The major forms of human trafficking are defined and discussed along with legislative efforts to address the issue. Prerequisites: CRIM 101, SOCI 101, POLS 101, and either PSYC 101 or PSYC 102. Three credit hours.
