Students learn to understand Biblical Hebrew in its written form, including its script, system of vowel notation, orientation, and pronunciation. Students also acquire a large stock of Biblical Hebrew vocabulary and study verbal morphology. Students begin reading actual selections of biblical material early in the semester.
