BIOL 6400: Developmental Animal Biology
3.00 Credits
Clemson University
Developmental biology explores the process by which a single-celled zygote develops into a complex animal. Principles and molecular mechanisms of fertilization, organogenesis, cellular differentiation, morphogenesis, and post-embryonic development are discussed, including how alterations produce birth defects. Students are expected to have completed coursework in introductory biochemistry before enrolling in this course.
