Specifically addresses draw, image manipulation and page layout software, including file management and output for both Windows and Macintosh operating systems. Includes instruction in imaging technology, scanners, and imagesetting.

Focuses on the types of inks, substrates, ink and substrate relationships, and finishing operations utilized in the contemporary graphic arts and printing industries to manufacture printed products. Prerequisite: lTGRA 180, 181, 182, 183.

Emphasizes understanding the theoretical and practical applications of digital imaging in the graphic arts/printing industry. Includes topics in digital scanning, densitometry, file management, and image setting. Significance of the collaboration of multiple software packages will be stressed. Prerequisite: ITGRA 180, 184.

Emphasizes camera types, exposure techniques, film characteristics and selection, black-and-white and color film processing, print making, print finishing, and composition. Related areas include special photographic applications, introduction to color photography, and introduction to digital photography.

An introduction to estimating in the printing and publishing industries. Reviews and incorporates knowledge of production planning in order to develop estimates using budgeted hourly rates and standards used in the printing industry. Prerequisite: ITGRA 180, 182.
