Recent topics have included: African women writers, contemporary Quebec literature, literature and revolution, etc.

Advanced study of economic, social, political, historical, and aesthetic issues in the civilization and cultural productions of one or several French-speaking areas outside of France. Focus on cultural diversity, nationalism, modernity and post-modernism, colonization and neo-colonization, and related issues.
