Research methods and the study of the social, cognitive, behavioral, and physiological processes of writing. Topics include evaluation of writing, the composing process, computers and literacy, dialect and writing, grammar and writing.

A survey of research in computers and writing theory and pedagogy over the last 25 years. Topics include computers and the composing process, multimedia literacy, networked communication in the classroom, hypertext theory and practice, and the politics of electronic communication.
