Topics include shop safety, structural analysis and measurement, equipment, structural glass, advanced repair techniques, structural component replacement and alignment, and other related topics. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze and perform repairs according to industry standards.

Prerequisite(s): None Corequisite(s): None This course covers the terms and procedures for welding the various metals found in today's autobody repair industry with an emphasis on personal/environmental safety. Topics include safety and precautionary measures, setup/ operation of MIG equipment, metal identification methods, types of welds/ joints, techniques, inspection methods, and other related topics. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of welding operations and safety procedures according to industry standards.

Topics include shop supervision, customer relations, cost effectiveness, and workplace ethics. Upon completion, students should be able to describe basic automotive shop operation from a management standpoint.

Automotive Servicing (2,6,4) Prerequisite(s): None Corequisite(s): None This course covers diagnostic procedures necessary to determine the nature and cause of auto service problems and the procedures used to repair/ replace components. Emphasis is placed on troubleshooting, testing, adjusting, repairing, and replacing components using appropriate test equipment and service information. Upon completion, students should be able to perform a variety of automotive repairs using proper service procedures and operate appropriate equipment.
